What Broadway song would you use for a Valentine's Day serenade?
“Say it Somehow” from The Light in the Piazza. There is something so beautiful about these two characters that cannot express their love through words. They need the music. Adam Guettel gives them this beautiful line to sing and they express their love in an "Ah." That just seems right to me. Love is such a huge, rich, deep, complex feeling that it is more effectively expressed through song than spoken.
